The NHS funds Welsh General Ophthalmic services (WGOS). Under WGOS we can provide a fully funded sight test if you live in Wales and:
- 16 yrs or under
- Full time student if 17, 18 or 19yrs
- Under 18 Care Leaver
- Over 60 yrs
- Diabetic
- Diagnosed with Glaucoma
- Over 40 yrs with direct genetic history of Glaucoma
- Registered Sight Impaired
- Has one eye
- Hearing impaired
- Has Retinitis Pigmentosa
- Entitled to complex lens
- Risk of eye disease through ethnicity and over 40yrs
- Certain benefits or Valid Tax credit Exemption (ask for details)
- Named on HC2W Certificate
- Named on HC3W (partial help) Certificate
- Prisoner on leave from prison
